Reminiscence
これはホウキがある場所の様子を撮影したものである。
私はどのようなホウキを見つけたかを覚えているが、街の様子は頭の中で不鮮明に崩れてしまっている。
プリントで見ると視線は画面上を行き交い、写真はそこにある全てを写すことができると気づいた。
光は網膜で焦点を結び視神経を通じて脳で像として認識する。
無意識のプロセスは、写真を見ることと重なる。
This is a photo sequence of the places where brooms are. I remember which and what kind of brooms I found. Yet, I cannot recall the outlines and details of the town I went to. They are all blurred and crumbled in my mind.
Taking a look at the printed photograph, I saw everything my camera had seen and recognized the specific details objectively.
At that moment, I realized photography lets us photograph everything that is there, not only what we intend to capture.
Light is focused onto the retina and recognized as an image in the brain through the optic nerve.
The unconscious process matches with looking at photographs.
